[EDITED TO MAKE IT FIT BETTER]
Alright, here is a bare bones run down of the life of my character. I am not Shiv, therefore i have not got an Uber story writ up. =P
Ruruk Falstadt is the only child of Evelynne and Godfried Falstadt. His mother was the clothier, or what amounted to it at least, in Hazelhof and his father was the town blacksmith. He was a bit... shunned by his parents as a child because of his lack of aptitude for traditional work. His father attempted to teach him smithing, but that failed in a bad way when he managed to break his arm. Having not the money to have it looked at and set by a man of medicine, his parents set it as best they could and it healed, albeit not quite in the way it should have. Whilst he could not do any hard work, he sat about the house and traveled to the shrine from time to time. From the clergy in the town he learned to read and write, and from boredom he garnered an affinity for getting through locks. As a consequence of his learning he was flogged a few times by various persons in the town, most of which passed off his actions as those of an unguided child. After about 3 floggings he got better at not being caught, practicing hiding and, though his arm was not the best, scaling surfaces to get out of sight.
At the age of 17, he first traveled south toward Krugenheim out of curiosity and boredom. Along the way he encountered a scant and seemingly forgotten graveyard. Within this forgotten repository of the dead, he found a crumbling tomb. Forgetting his purpose, and getting generally distracted, he began working on getting into it. Over the course of about a week he managed to get into the tomb and not die from the various things within, though he did manage to take an arrow in the shoulder. Binding the wound and taking the items within that were worth the trouble, he went on to Krugenheim and sold those things he acquired as best he could and spent some of his acquired coin on treating his arrow wound. The rest he spend on equipment to help him do what he did before in a better way than he did it before. He traveled back to Hazelhof and gave a good amount of the coin to his family, and kept a small amount of it. Over the next 2 years he searched for other Tombs and challenges of that sort but his search was not fruitful. Frustrated, he begins to set his eyes on the land outside of Hazelhof.
[thus begins our story]
